Founder & President
While a sophomore at California State University Long Beach, Rusty Deeble founded Digital Installers in the year 2000. Initially the company focused on the first wave of home networks, universal remote controls, and custom flat screen installations. The company’s offerings have expanded overtime to include commercial audio/video, security systems, smart lighting, motorized shading, and automation for the luxury market.
Over the next 20 years Rusty grew his company through a never ending pursuit of knowledge and innovation. Having earned multiple US patents he has become an industry influencer, sits on the boards of several audio/video manufacturers, and is a certified CEDIA Instructor. Rusty was nominated for CEDIA’s 2019 Young Professional of the Year award.
In 2013 Rusty was recognized by Farmers in Merchants Bank as one of California’s Strongest People You Can Bank On.” He continues to give back by supporting and donating his time as a board member of the YMCA of Long Beach.
Let Our Process Guide the Way
All of our projects, from luxury home theater design services to smart home designs, Digital Installers strives for exemplary professionalism by sticking to an organized and transparent process. This way each client will know exactly what to expect during each phase of the project and will have a crystal clear understanding of how their technology goals are being brought to life.
*In most cases, Digital Installers is responsible for all hardware procurement, and labor, as well as the design responsibility.
1. Listening & Understanding
Projects begin with an in person consultation where we learn everything about your desires and preferences. This allow us to design a system unique to you. We then take time to learn more about your, such as your interests, lifestyle, and budget. The more we learn, the better we can tailor the ideal functionality of your system.
2. Designing & Engineering
Step two is taking the information from the initial consultation to design your system according to your needs. The proposal will give you an overhead explanation of the systems room by room. It will outline the features and functions you can expect from a lighting system, audio, video and networking. We’ll then confer with you, integrating your feedback into the design before moving on to the next step. Once you have approved the system design, we’ll process your project through our computer design software and create drawings to provide detailed documentation for our team of technicians to follow. The plans include the hardware specifications, labor requirements, wiring diagrams, lighting load specs, engineering diagrams and rack elevations. By following these plans to a “T”, we ensure that the final project is true with the approved design.
On the job site, our team uses engineering documentation to lay out all necessary wiring and enclosures. Being aware of the unique requirements for various systems, our team members expertly install and test each device to ensure it is functioning as intended in the original documentation. The time frame of the process will depend on your projects scope, as well as any change orders along the way. Each change made during this stage, will be included in relevant documentation.
4. Service & Support
After project completion, we ensure our customers enjoy a first rate service experience to keep their home’s new technology running smoothly for years to come. Clients ask us how they can enjoy optimal performance from their system as time goes on? Rest assured that every piece of documentation is archived for future on going tech support. We offer the “DI CARE” service program for customers that includes 24/7/365 remote monitoring, monthly firmware updates, priority scheduling and more!
